Early unofficial images suggest a significant change is coming to Apple’s most affordable iPhone. The iPhone 17e is expected to adopt the Dynamic Island, a feature previously exclusive to the company’s premium models.
Recent renderings indicate a design aligned with the current iPhone lineup, signaling Apple’s intention to standardize the look of its devices across different price points. This move reflects a broader trend in the consumer electronics market towards a more unified brand aesthetic.
Modern Look, Minimal Changes to Display
While the display is likely to retain basic specifications, without a high refresh rate, the integration of the Dynamic Island noticeably enhances the visual experience. The interface becomes more akin to higher-end models, giving the phone a more contemporary appearance. The Dynamic Island, introduced on the iPhone 17 models, is an interactive area that adapts in real time to show alerts, notifications and activities.
In addition to the standard black and white color options, a lavender shade may also be available, catering to consumers seeking a more personalized look.
The front-facing camera is expected to be similar to those found in recent generations, including support for features like Center Stage.
Despite being positioned as an entry-level device, the iPhone 17e could be equipped with the A19 processor. This choice would ensure high performance and long-term software support.
The phone will also include compatibility with MagSafe accessories, as well as wireless charging, demonstrating Apple’s commitment to maintaining key features in its more affordable segment.
The base model with 128 GB of storage is anticipated to start at approximately $599. In Europe, the cost could reach around €600 plus taxes, similar to the previous generation – roughly 3,000 RON.
