Kylie Jenner Expresses Desire to Pursue Music Career
Reality television star and businesswoman Kylie Jenner revealed today she is open to recording an album, following her recent vocal feature on the song “Fourth Strike” by Terror Jr.
Jenner, 28, shared her long-held ambition during a Q&A session related to the new track, which was uploaded to her YouTube channel. “This is my dream, even since I came out of the womb, I wanted to be a pop star,” she stated. “But I just never had the confidence.” She acknowledged her aspirations are not necessarily aimed at achieving the level of success of artists like Adele, laughing and adding, “I always wanted to try and see if I can do it.”
The collaboration with Terror Jr. is not Jenner’s first foray into the music world; she previously appeared in the music video for their 2016 song “3 Strikes” as part of a promotional campaign for her Kylie Cosmetics glosses. Jenner described feeling “really nervous” during her first recording session for “Fourth Strike,” admitting she had “three vodka sodas.” Each studio session reportedly lasted five to six hours. The song features Jenner rapping the lyrics: “One strike, two strike, let me get the mood right. Do it on purpose just to see how it ends.”
Jenner expressed hope that this collaboration will lead to further musical endeavors, stating, “I would love to try…I don’t want it to end. And I think, why not? I think we should try. Let’s like, make an album.” This potential career shift comes as Jenner continues to expand her business empire, which includes Kylie Cosmetics and a significant net worth according to Forbes.
Jenner has not announced any concrete plans for an album release, but indicated she is eager to explore her musical potential.
