Tel Aviv, March 3, 2026 – The Israeli military reported launching extensive aerial strikes targeting security and military infrastructure in the Iranian capital, Tehran, as rocket and drone fire continued from Iran. The escalating exchange marks a significant intensification of the conflict between the two nations, raising concerns about wider regional instability.
Explosions were reported in the Iranian cities of Shiraz in the south and Gankavar in the west, alongside a large blast in the Isfahan province, as Israeli and American attacks continued on the cities of Kermanshah and Dezful in western and southern Iran.
In Israel, sirens sounded across a wide area including Greater Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, the Upper Galilee, the coastal region, Ashkelon, and the Dead Sea area, as well as settlements in the “Gaza Envelope.” The widespread alerts indicate the breadth of the Iranian response and the potential for attacks reaching major population centers.
