Analysis of the mobile phone data revealed that the “Hells Angels” member was in confidential contact with an employee of the Hanover public prosecutor’s office, Yashar G. This information comes from a document titled “Report on Chat Evaluation” prepared by an officer of the Göttingen Police Directorate. The chats show Yashar G. And Cayan I. Discussing a sentence handed down to Kadir P., the leader of the “Hells Angels.” Kadir P. Was sentenced to life in prison in Berlin in 2019 for ordering a murder. It remains unclear whether and when the Göttingen public prosecutor’s office informed the Hanover public prosecutor’s office, where Yashar G. Was stationed, about the matter. It is also unclear whether the Ministry of Justice was informed and what consequences, if any, were taken. NDR’s initial inquiry to the Ministry of Justice went unanswered. The fact that indications of a close connection between the Hanover prosecutor and a member of the “Hells Angels” were already known within Lower Saxony’s justice system in 2020 has not previously been made public. It is also unclear whether the chats led to any consequences. Lawyers for both Yashar G. And Cayan I. Declined to comment on the matter when contacted.
Trial of Yashar G. Underway in Hanover
The case raises further questions in the political investigation of the justice scandal. Yashar G.
