Vaneast Pictures and CAA Media Finance are launching sales today on the comedy film Jacob Beats Up Nate, featuring a cast led by Lamorne Morris, Justin Long, and Naturi Naughton.
Filming recently wrapped in St. Louis, Missouri, where the production utilized the state’s new local filming incentive program. The ensemble cast also includes Lawrence J. Lee, Travis Van Winkle, Frankie Faison, Penny Johnson Jerald, Seth Carr, and Joylin Bass, marking her feature film debut. The film is directed by J. Lee, known for his work on Atypical Wednesday.
Jacob Beats Up Nate is inspired by true events and centers on Jacob Mann (Morris), a responsible family man who returns to his hometown for a high school Hall of Fame induction, secretly intending to finally confront and physically challenge his high school bully, Nate Tagliabu (Long).
