Fowler is sidelined with an upper-body injury, according to the team statement. He will remain on the bench for both events.
The 21-year-ancient netminder has been a standout performer for Laval this season, posting a 17-7-0 record with a 2.26 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage in 24 appearances. His strong play has been a key factor in the Rocket’s success.
Fowler has also seen action with the Montreal Canadiens, appearing in 10 games and earning four wins.
Adam Engström and Laurent Dauphin will represent the Rocket at the AHL All-Star Classic, which is being held this year in Rockford, Illinois, the home of the Chicago Blackhawks’ affiliate, the IceHogs. Rocket head coach Pascal Vincent will also be in attendance.
