A dominant offensive performance from rookie Jadher Areinamo powered La Guaira to a high-scoring victory over the caribes on Monday in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball league (LVBP). The 21-year-old infielder’s six-hit game, including a home run, earned him “Momento Simple del juego” honors and further cemented his position as a league leader in multiple categories. With his performance,Areinamo also entered the Tiburones record books as just the sixth rookie to record 30 or more RBIs in a season.
Puerto La Cruz was the site of a high-scoring affair on Monday, as the Tiburones and Caribes combined for 33 runs and 34 hits. Leading the offensive explosion was Jadher Areinamo, whose performance powered La Guaira to victory in the debut of manager Marco Davalillo.
The Venezuelan Professional Baseball League’s (LVBP) breakout rookie finished the day 6-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs, three runs scored, and a stolen base, earning him the Momento Simple del juego – the game’s defining moment.
Areinamo’s stellar outing solidified his league-leading position in several key categories, including home runs (9), RBIs (30), runs scored (25), extra-base hits (16), times on base (70), slugging percentage (.714), and OPS (1.128).
The infielder is also second in the LVBP in hits with 35, and has added six doubles and a triple to his impressive stat line. He currently boasts a .357 batting average and a .414 on-base percentage. This dominant performance has quickly established Areinamo as a key player to watch in the league.

Following Monday’s game, the 21-year-old right-handed hitter became just the sixth rookie in Tiburones history to record a season with at least 30 RBIs:

Areinamo is currently on pace to finish the season with 19 home runs and 62 RBIs. The LVBP records for home runs and RBIs by a rookie are held by Max RamÃrez, with 15 long balls and 53 runs batted in.
