Following a brutal knockout loss to Anthony Joshua in Florida on Saturday, social media influencer and boxer Jake Paul sustained multiple jaw fractures that will require extensive dental work and a potentially lengthy recovery[[1]]. while Joshua reportedly showed sportsmanship by personally apologizing to Paul’s mother, Pam Stepnick, after the fight, Stepnick has publicly condemned the conduct of Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, sparking a war of words and a pointed threat from the fighter’s mother. The bout, which carried a combined purse of approximately £140 million, concluded with Paul facing a potentially nine-month recovery period[[1]].

Jake Paul’s mother, Pam Stepnick, says she’d like to confront Eddie Hearn, promoter of Anthony Joshua, following her son’s defeat in Florida this past weekend. While Jake Paul initially weathered the early rounds against the former heavyweight world champion, the fight ultimately ended with a brutal knockout and a fractured jaw for Paul.

Pam Stepnick praised Joshua’s conduct after the bout. She revealed the British boxer navigated the crowd to personally apologize for the decisive finish.

“Anthony even had the grace to come over to me and say, ‘Mom, just know this is boxing, this is combat sport,’” Pam Stepnick shared. She sharply contrasted this with criticism of Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, whom she labeled “smug.”

“I would walk into the ring and punch Eddie Hearn in the face. I can’t stand his smug face,” Stepnick said on the Impaulsive podcast. “He acts like he’s better than everybody. Jake is over there hurting, and he’s smiling like he swallowed a canary. Did *he* get in the ring?”

When asked if she believed Hearn was pleased with Jake Paul’s injury, Pam continued: “Of course, it’s disgusting to me. It’s sick.”

Reports indicate Jake Paul suffered a broken jaw in two places, and may require dental implants that can only be placed three months after the bone has healed. The implants will then need to be fitted with crowns, a process that could take another six to seven months, potentially leaving Paul with only around 90 percent strength in his jaw after nine months.

Jake Paul’s brother, Logan Paul, acknowledged that “it’s part of the sport,” and suggested his younger brother may have “bitten off more than he could chew.”

Paul and Joshua reportedly split a combined purse of approximately £140 million following the fight.
