Jetour, distributed locally by the Famly Argentina import group alongside Kaiyi and KYC, has launched its T1 i-DM, a new hybrid SUV aiming to meet that demand. The vehicle combines a gasoline engine with an electric motor, offering a combined 346 horsepower and a suite of modern technology and safety features, starting at a price of USD $35,800.
As demand for electrified vehicles – including both hybrid and fully electric models – continues to grow in Argentina, automakers are expanding their offerings with new technologies and powertrain options.
Jetour has announced the launch of its new T1 i-DM, a hybrid version of its popular SUV. The Chinese brand is part of the Famly Argentina import group, which also distributes Kaiyi and KYC vehicles in the country. The new model boasts a combined output of 346 horsepower, achieved through the pairing of a 1.5 TGDI gasoline engine (producing 140 hp at 5200 rpm) with a 150 kW electric motor and a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT).
The T1 i-DM maintains the dimensions of the conventional T1 SUV, which is equipped with a 2.0 TDGI engine and all-wheel drive. It measures 4705 millimeters in length, 1967 millimeters in width, and 1843 millimeters in height, with a wheelbase of 2800 mm and a minimum ground clearance of 160 mm. The fuel tank has a capacity of 70 liters, and the cabin is configured to accommodate five passengers.
Inside, the vehicle features soft-touch materials, push-button and remote start systems, and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen display with wireless compatibility for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also includes USB, USB-C, and 12V ports, a refrigerated glovebox, height and depth adjustable steering wheel, and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory function (the passenger seat has four-way adjustment). A wireless charging pad for mobile phones is also included. The interior is further enhanced by nine speakers, an electronic parking brake, dual-zone climate control, an eco-leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, and matching upholstery.
Safety features include six airbags and a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance systems. These encompass electronic stability control, electronic brake-force distribution, autonomous emergency braking, tire pressure monitoring, blind-spot detection, lane-keeping assist, hill-start assist, adaptive cruise control, and hill descent control. The vehicle also features a 540-degree parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, and full LED headlights.
The Jetour T1 i-DM is being launched with a starting price of USD $35,800 and is backed by an 8-year/160,000 km warranty on the battery and a 5-year/150,000 km warranty on the powertrain.
