A viral video showed visitors gathering in front of the event’s entrance, eager to gain access.

Participants wore red lanyards identifying them as event attendees, with some pointing and shouting as they attempted to enter.
As of 11:52 AM local time on February 14, 2026, the situation at the Jewellery Fair at the JCC Senayan had calmed. Those awaiting entry were queuing in an orderly fashion.

Attendees sat in chairs provided by event organizers in front of the entrance, separated by barrier ropes.
Dodi, a resident of East Jakarta’s Kalimalang district, said the crowding in the viral video occurred around 6:30 AM, before the event’s doors opened. He noted that the initial rush was due to anticipation, with no physical altercations as the entrance wasn’t yet accessible. “Around 8:00 AM, organizers were present,” Dodi said.
Dodi stated that only 200 visitors were allocated access to purchase gold at the fair on February 14, and he received queue number 112.
“It seems they implemented a list due to the chaotic conditions. However, our initial list already contained over 300 names,” he added.
The Jewellery Fair took place from February 12-14, 2026, at the JCC Senayan, operating from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily.
