Storhamar’s star goalkeeper, June Krogh, will be moving to a foreign club after this season, the team announced Monday.

The 22-year-ancient, who has been with Storhamar for two seasons after transferring from Follo, has turn into one of Norway’s top goalkeepers and was a member of the Norwegian squad that won the European Championship gold medal before Christmas. This move comes as no surprise given her rising profile in the sport.

While Storhamar has not disclosed which club will be Krogh’s new home, they confirmed that a “significant” transfer fee will be involved, as she still has one year remaining on her contract.

“I want to challenge myself in a new environment,” Krogh said. “Getting new impulses, meeting new people from different countries and experiencing a different culture, I think will contribute to both personal and sporting development.”

Krogh was the youngest member of the Norwegian squad that secured gold at the 2025 World Women’s Handball Championship, acting primarily as a backup during the tournament. She has 12 appearances for the national team, with no goals scored, as of December 5, 2025.

Storhamar won the Norwegian League Gold and Norwegian Cup in 2024/2025. Krogh was also named All-Star Goalkeeper of the 2022 Women’s Junior World Handball Championship.
