MFK Karviná currently holds the 6th position with 32 points (10 wins, 2 draws, 9 losses), and a goal difference of 34-34.

Head coach Marek Jarolím’s team has faced a challenging start to the spring season. Despite creating scoring opportunities, they suffered a 2-0 defeat at home against Plzeň and a similar result in Teplice. This has resulted in a drop to sixth place in the league standings.

The team is now preparing to face league leaders Slavia Prague. This match presents a significant challenge, as Karviná will be without players Camara and Labík. Fleišman was sent off during the match in Teplice. Singhateh as well departed for Jablonec mid-week.

“Of course, this is a complication, but even so, we will field a quality lineup capable of playing a good match,” Jarolím stated on the club’s website. Karviná has never defeated Slavia Prague at home, but the team previously overcame a similar historical disadvantage against Sparta in the fall.
