Wieczysta kraków is searching for stability on the sidelines after a tumultuous start to their I liga campaign following promotion from the II liga. The club has already moved through two head coaches as early October, seeking a leader to right a ship that has lost six consecutive league matches[[1]]. Now,Wieczysta appears poised to appoint Kazimierz Moskal,a manager with a proven track record of achieving promotion, tho his arrival requires a severance with his current club,Wisła Kraków.
The coaching carousel at Wieczysta Kraków continues to spin, with the Polish club now turning to Kazimierz Moskal after a turbulent few weeks following their promotion to the I liga. Despite a strong start, Wieczysta parted ways with Przemysław Cecherz in early October, even while holding a second-place position in the league table. His replacement, Gino Lettieri – formerly of Korona Kielce and most recently managing a Thai league team – lasted just three matches before also being relieved of his duties.
Not Nawałka, Not Doll. Wieczysta Finally Makes a Choice.
The rapid turnover has taken its toll on the pitch, as Wieczysta has failed to secure a win in their last six league games, sliding down to eighth place in the standings. They now trail the second position they held at the time of Cecherz’s dismissal by eight points. The club aggressively pursued a new manager in recent weeks, reportedly holding talks with former Poland national team coach Adam Nawałka. Thomas Doll, who previously managed Borussia Dortmund, was also considered, but ultimately, the club opted for a Polish tactician.
A Promotion Specialist. A Boost for Wisła Kraków?
According to Bartosz Karcz of “Gazeta Krakowska,” Wieczysta has reached an agreement with Kazimierz Moskal. While it remains uncertain whether he will be in the dugout for their away match against Chrobry Głogów on Saturday, November 22, the deal is nearing completion. “Talks are at an advanced stage, to the point where it’s possible the coach could lead the team in their next league match against Chrobry Głogów, scheduled for this Saturday. Another report suggests he will take over the team starting Monday,” the report states.
Moskal has a proven track record of achieving promotion to the Ekstraklasa, having done so twice with ŁKS Łódź (2018/2019 and 2022/2023). His most recent role was with Wisła Kraków, where he guided the team through qualifying rounds for the Europa League and Conference League last season. However, he was dismissed in September of the previous year after Wisła secured only one win in their first seven matches in the I liga. He currently remains under contract with “Biała Gwiazda,” and his contract will be terminated upon joining Wieczysta.
