A 20th-anniversary celebration of “Kelias į žvaigždes,” Lithuania’s first musical reality show, was held alongside a birthday celebration for the show’s creator and producer, Arūnas Valinskas, according to a press release.
The event served as a nostalgic reunion for fans of the groundbreaking series, which helped shape the landscape of Lithuanian television.
“Welcome to the past. There will be no hot seats, pluses, or minuses in this concert. Only the best emotions and memories,” Valinskas said.
“Tonight, I feel like a father of many children, because that’s what we called them back then, our children,” Valinskas added with emotion.
Performances from original contestants Donata, Baggy B, Dangė, Mino, Grūdas, Simona, Dūmas, Deividas, Agnė, Anatolijus, Andrius, Radži, and Vudis highlighted the evening.
The audience enthusiastically joined in, singing along to every word of the beloved songs from the show’s history and dancing from the very first number.
Adding to the throwback atmosphere, the original “Tina dance” dancers also took to the stage, recreating iconic routines from the show.
Fans can catch the anniversary tour on December 5th at the Šiauliai Arena and December 18th at the Kaunas “Žalgiris” Arena.
