The municipality of La Tour-de-Peilz is proposing revisions to its land-use plan, aiming for increased density, heritage preservation, and environmental responsibility. The move reflects a broader trend among municipalities to adapt urban planning to meet evolving needs and sustainability goals.
Officials in La Tour-de-Peilz have initiated a partial modification of the communal territory’s zoning regulations, originally enacted in 2019. The proposed changes are designed to better accommodate future development, encourage ecological transition, and enhance the protection of local heritage. According to Elise Kaiser, a municipal representative responsible for urban planning and public works, the measures are largely incentive-based.
“The goal is to guide development in a way that respects our environment and preserves the character of La Tour-de-Peilz,” Kaiser explained. The public consultation period will remain open until December 18th. A dedicated session for discussion with municipal delegates will be held on Thursday, December 4th, offering residents an opportunity to learn more and provide feedback.
