Latvia’s consumer prices rose by 0.2% in February 2026 compared to January, while the annual inflation rate decreased to 2.3% from 2.9% the previous month. The average price level over the last 12 months increased by 3.6% year-over-year.

In February, the increase in prices was most significantly influenced by transportation, recreation and culture, housing costs and alcohol and tobacco. Simultaneously, the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages decreased by 0.6% during the month, primarily due to promotional activities that lowered prices for meat products, butter, milk, and certain beverages.
