Pablo Rodríguez scored the lone goal in the 65th minute as Lech Poznań defeated KuPS Kuopio, cementing their progression. “European evenings are beautiful. You play football to compete against better teams from abroad. I’m very happy that we’re continuing and we’re eagerly awaiting the draw,” said Skrzypczak after the match.

Lech Poznań will face either Shakhtar Donetsk or Rayo Vallecano in the Round of 16. The draw will take place on Friday, determining the full bracket all the way to the final. Coverage begins at 2:00 PM on Polsat Sport 1, Polsatsport.pl, and the Polsat Box Travel platform.

“The most important thing today was to advance. I don’t think we scraped by. We controlled the situation on the pitch throughout and could have scored many more goals. Everything was under control. There wasn’t a single moment in this tie where we felt like the result could slip away,” a Lech defender stated.

Jagiellonia Białystok’s run in the Conference League came to an end, despite a remarkable victory over ACF Fiorentina in the first leg. They won 4:2 in Florence, overcoming the deficit from the first match in regulation time, but ultimately fell in extra time after a 0-3 defeat in Białystok.

“The first thing I’ll do is call Kamil Jóźwiak, because I saw he picked up an injury. Józiu, stay strong, you’ll be back stronger! I was following Jagiellonia’s result until 3-0, but then I had to fully focus on our match. It was a beautiful evening for Bartek Mazurek – a hat-trick, huge congratulations. Coach Siemieniec is doing a great job there. Everyone had written them off after the first match, but they went to Italy and were close to causing a huge upset. Hats off to them and see you in the league,” a Polish national team player commented.
