Pablo Rodríguez scored the lone goal in the 65th minute as Lech Poznań defeated KuPS Kuopio, cementing their progression. “European evenings are beautiful. “The most important thing today was to advance. I don’t think we scraped by. We controlled the situation on the pitch throughout and could have scored many more goals. Everything was under control. There wasn’t a single moment in this tie where we felt like the result could slip away,” a Lech defender stated.
Jagiellonia Białystok’s run in the Conference League came to an end, despite a remarkable victory over ACF Fiorentina in the first leg. They won 4:2 in Florence, overcoming the deficit from the first match in regulation time, but ultimately fell in extra time after a 0-3 defeat in Białystok.
