Lenovo unveiled two new AI concepts designed for office environments at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, signaling the company’s continued push into AI-powered workplace solutions. The announcements highlight a growing trend of integrating artificial intelligence directly into everyday office tools.
One of the concepts, the AI Workmate Concept, is a desktop robot intended to function as a digital assistant. The device features an articulated head with a built-in projector and a small screen capable of displaying facial expressions. Users can interact with the AI Workmate through voice commands, and it can scan and summarize both physical and digital documents, as well as project images or documents onto a desk or wall.
For example, a document can be projected, signed, scanned, and then sent to a printer. This streamlined workflow demonstrates the potential for AI to simplify common office tasks.
