Robert Lewandowski‘s future at FC Barcelona is under scrutiny as his contract approaches its final months, with the Polish international remaining noncommittal about an extension according to recent reports. While the 35-year-old forward has indicated he’s open to discussing a new deal, perhaps with adjusted terms, a recent poll of Barcelona members reveals significant doubt about his continued role with the club. The results of that poll, and fan sentiment regarding potential replacements, are detailed below.
Robert Lewandowski’s future with FC Barcelona is increasingly uncertain as his four-year contract nears its end in just over six months. The Polish striker has remained tight-lipped about potential moves, stating he’s not yet focused on making a decision. “I still have some time to make a decision. As of today, I don’t know where I want to play. There’s no need to think about it yet. I don’t know which direction I want to go, but I’m not under pressure,” Lewandowski said in a recent interview.
Barcelona Supporters Weigh In on Lewandowski’s Future
Reports have suggested Lewandowski might be open to a contract extension with Barcelona, even if it meant accepting a reduced salary and a less prominent role. However, the club’s supporters appear less enthusiastic about retaining the veteran forward. “No” to extending Lewandowski’s contract and “yes” to Rashford – that was the verdict announced Sunday by “Mundo Deportivo.”

The decision comes after a special poll was conducted among Barcelona socios, with the results now public. When asked whether to renew Lewandowski’s contract, 59.3 percent of respondents (178 people) voted “no,” while 31.6 percent (95 people) favored keeping the striker at the club. A small percentage, 5.3 percent (16), declined to offer an opinion, and 3.6 percent (11) indicated their decision would depend on the terms of a new contract.
The poll also gauged support for signing Marcus Rashford for a reported €30 million. A majority, 54.6 percent of socios (164), expressed support for the move, while 35.6 percent (107) opposed bringing the forward to Barcelona. Another 6.3 percent (19) believe a decision on Rashford’s future should be made at the end of the season, and 3.3 percent remain undecided.
