LG is pushing the boundaries of television design with its new OLED evo W6, unveiled at CES 2026. The forthcoming model-replacing the M series-boasts a remarkably thin “wallpaper” profile, measuring less than 1 centimeter, and a entirely wireless setup thanks to LG’s Zero Connect technology. This represents a meaningful shift in home entertainment aesthetics, prioritizing a clean, minimalist look and immersive viewing experience, and perhaps redefining how consumers integrate televisions into their living spaces. The W6 also introduces Hyper Radiant Color technology intended to greatly reduce screen reflections.

LG unveiled its next-generation OLED television at CES 2026, announcing a new flagship model designed to redefine the premium viewing experience. The company is replacing its high-end M series – known for its wireless design and Zero Connect technology – with the new W series. This move signals LG’s continued commitment to pushing the boundaries of display technology and design.

The W6 aims to deliver a top-tier performance with an ultra-thin “wallpaper” design, measuring less than 1 centimeter in thickness, and a completely cable-free setup. This represents a significant step forward in minimizing visual clutter and maximizing the immersive quality of the viewing experience.

LG achieved this remarkable thinness through a complete overhaul of the internal architecture and a significant miniaturization of components. The result is an incredibly sleek, lightweight, and elegant display that seamlessly integrates into any living space.

The new wall-mounting system has also been redesigned to ensure a flush fit, eliminating any visible gaps between the screen and the wall, further enhancing the “wallpaper” effect that LG is known for.

True Wireless: A Completely Cable-Free Experience

Building on the success of previous M series models, the W6 continues to feature LG’s Zero Connect technology. All connections – including HDMI, gaming consoles, and streaming devices – are routed to an external Zero Connect Box, which can be positioned up to 33 feet (10 meters) from the television. The 4K image and audio are transmitted wirelessly, with LG promising a visually lossless experience.

Hyper Radiant Color: Brighter OLED with Reduced Reflections

Complementing the design innovations, LG is introducing its new Hyper Radiant Color Technology, aimed at enhancing brightness, color accuracy, and black levels while minimizing screen reflections. This technology is designed to deliver a more vibrant and immersive viewing experience in any lighting conditions.

LG claims the W6 boasts the least reflective OLED panel ever produced, and it has received certification to back up that claim. This addresses a common concern with OLED displays, offering a potential advantage over competing technologies like Samsung’s anti-reflective coatings, which can sometimes impact black levels in bright environments. Independent testing will be needed to verify the effectiveness of the new reflection-reducing technology.

With LG Gallery+, the Wallpaper TV also functions as a decorative element, offering access to over 4,500 visuals – including artwork, film scenes, and gaming content – as well as the user’s personal photos and AI-generated images. LG is offering a feature similar to Samsung’s The Frame, allowing users to transform their television into a dynamic art display. However, like Samsung’s offering, the service will be subscription-based.

A Strong Proposition for Gamers

Despite its ultra-design focus, the OLED evo W6 doesn’t overlook gamers. Like other 2026 OLED evo models, it supports refresh rates up to 4K 165Hz, compatibility with Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium, and an ultra-fast response time.

The W6 appears to be a compelling television on paper, and is likely to be one of the best models of the year. Details regarding available screen sizes, release date, and pricing – which will likely position it as a premium product – remain to be announced.
