Lidl Lietuva is expanding its commitment to affordability with sustained price reductions on a growing number of everyday products. The discount retailer’s move reflects a broader trend of consumers seeking value as economic pressures persist, and builds on initial cuts implemented last December. lidl asserts this isn’t a temporary sale, but a long-term strategy to offer consistently lower prices across its 84 stores nationwide, spanning cities from Vilnius to Jurbarkas, and supported by self-reliant research confirming its position as having the lowest basket price for frequently purchased goods.

Lidl is expanding its price reduction initiatives across a growing number of products, marking a sustained effort to lower costs for consumers. The discount retailer says this isn’t a temporary promotion, but a long-term strategy to offer more affordable everyday prices.

“We are continuing to reduce everyday prices – these are not short-term promotions, but a change in daily prices, ensuring that our customers can shop even more affordably at Lidl,” said Antanas Bubnelis, Head of Communications and Corporate Affairs at Lidl Lietuva. “We have already reduced prices on more than 50 products frequently found in shoppers’ baskets – butter, milk, coffee, cheese, and others. We will continue to reduce daily prices on more and more products each week.”

The price cuts, which began at the end of last year, now include an additional 15 snack items this week, bringing the total number of products with reduced prices to over 50. This move comes as consumers continue to seek value amid ongoing economic pressures.

Examples of recent price reductions include Bellarom coffee capsules, now priced at €3.99, and Gold Bellarom roasted ground coffee, available for just €5.49. Bananas are now selling for €1.19 per kilogram, and Diamant sugar is priced at €0.68.

Lidl has also lowered prices on a range of hygiene and cleaning products, including toothbrushes, hair conditioner and shampoo, laundry detergent, and all-purpose cleaners.

The retailer initiated price cuts on other popular items last December. Currently, 180g of Pilos butter is available for €1.39. One liter of Pilos long-life milk (3.2% fat) costs €0.95, while 2% fat milk is priced at €0.89. Pilos Gouda cheese is also available at a reduced price of €2.99.
