Paris Saint-Germain exploded for five goals against Rennes on Sunday, rebounding from a mid-week setback and solidifying their position near the top of the Ligue 1 table. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia led the charge with a brace, while Mayulu, Mbaye, and Ramos also found the back of the net in a dominant performance.
Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring in the 28th minute, and after Mayulu extended the lead, the Georgian midfielder struck again after the break. Late goals from substitutes Mbaye and Ramos completed the rout. Luis Enrique’s side bounced back from a 1-0 loss at Monaco last week, a result that had seen them relinquish the league lead.
