Authorities are preparing for disruptions and have announced specific diversion routes, particularly in West Jakarta, to accommodate the sizable production.
Jakarta –
A new film starring South Korean actor Ma Dong-seok (Don Lee) and BLACKPINK’s Lisa has begun filming in and around Jakarta, drawing attention from local authorities and requiring traffic adjustments. The production is shooting scenes in locations across Jabodetabek, including Cikini in Central Jakarta and Depok, West Java.
According to Kombes Budi Hermanto, Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jaya Police, filming commenced on December 8, 2025, and is scheduled to continue through March 30, 2026. The traffic management plan is in response to the production of the film, titled Extraction: Tygo, organized by PT Asia Media Aliansi Group.
“The filming period is from December 8, 2025, to March 30, 2026,” Hermanto stated on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Hermanto detailed several filming locations, including Kota Tua (Old Town), Cikini, Bekasi, and Depok.
“The filming locations include Kota Tua, Kastil Batavia, the CTC building (central trading company), Jembatan Baru, Muara Baru, Cikini Hospital, Bekasi, and Depok,” he added.
Authorities confirmed that the production secured necessary permits directly from the National Police Headquarters (Mabes Polri) due to the involvement of foreign nationals and the use of areas under the jurisdiction of multiple regional police departments.
“The permits were issued by Mabes Polri because the production involves foreign nationals and spans the legal jurisdictions of the Metro Jaya and West Java Regional Police,” Hermanto explained.
Police have also prepared a traffic diversion scheme, anticipating further filming activity in the Jakarta Barat (West Jakarta) area.
“According to the plan, there will be traffic diversions on Jalan Cengkeh in West Jakarta from February 1 to February 7, 2026,” he said.
