The match began with PSV taking an early lead, awarded a penalty just six minutes into the game. Ivan Perisic calmly converted the spot-kick, putting the visitors ahead.

Dominik Szoboszlai leveled the score for Liverpool in the 16th minute, igniting hopes of a comeback. However, the second half proved disastrous for the home side.

GOAL! PSV sealed the victory in the 91st minute with a quick counter-attack. Sergino Dest raced down the right flank and delivered a low cross that Driouech converted into the bottom right corner.
