While Alisson Becker has returned to training, the availability of Andy Robertson remains uncertain as Liverpool prepares for a crucial league contest.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot revealed some concerning injury news ahead of Saturday’s Premier League match against Nottingham Forest. The update comes following the recent international break, which often presents challenges for club managers.
Slot confirmed that both defender Conor Bradley and midfielder Florian Wirtz will miss the match due to muscle injuries. Neither player will be available for selection when Liverpool hosts Forest at Anfield.
However, there was positive news regarding goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who has returned to training with the squad. Andy Robertson did not participate in training on Friday, but is expected to join the team’s session today.
“Alisson trained with us last week and this week, so if everything is okay today, he will be able to play tomorrow. If he is ready to play, he will start,” Slot told reporters.
“We do have some problems after the international break, though. Unfortunately, Conor Bradley cannot play, nor can Florian Wirtz. The situation is not ideal,” the Liverpool manager added.
