Dutch Crime Drama ‘Loverboy: Vertrouw Niemand’ Premieres to Anticipation
The Dutch crime drama “Loverboy: Vertrouw Niemand” (“Loverboy: Don’t Trust Anyone”) had its premiere on March 21, 2026, continuing a story that has captivated audiences in the Netherlands. The film, directed by Danny Leysner, is a sequel to the 2024 hit “Loverboy: Emoties uit” and is already generating buzz for its intense storyline and compelling characters.
The film follows Terrance, a former “loverboy” – a human trafficker – as he attempts to rebuild his life after serving a prison sentence. He’s presented with a risky deal by the police: infiltrate a dangerous human trafficking network and rescue four missing girls in exchange for regaining custody of his daughter. However, his mission quickly becomes complicated as he finds himself entangled with Nina, a seductive and ruthless “lovergirl.”

The film runs for 92 minutes and is in Dutch. The success of “Loverboy: Emoties uit” as the highest-grossing Dutch film of 2024 has set high expectations for this sequel, signaling a growing appetite for Dutch crime dramas on the international stage.
