As teams prepare for the championship series of the 2025-2026 Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), potential reinforcements are beginning to emerge as available players in the upcoming Additions Draft.

Two key players from the Águilas del Zulia, Silvino Bracho and Alí Castillo, have indicated their willingness to join any team that requests their services for the championship run. This report comes from journalists Carlos Valmore Rodríguez and Efraín Zavarce, who are currently in Maracaibo.

Bracho recently earned the Closer of the Year award for the second consecutive season. He finished the semifinal round with a 1.50 ERA and four saves. His late-inning dominance will be highly sought after as teams look to solidify their bullpens.

Castillo, meanwhile, posted a .338 batting average during the elimination round and finished the all-against-all phase with a .303 average. His versatility and offensive production make him a valuable asset for any contender.

KEY ABSENCES

However, Luisángel Acuña will likely be unavailable for the Gran Final if the Cardenales de Lara are eliminated, according to sources at ElEmergente.com.

Acuña has traveled outside of Venezuela to obtain a U.S. visa, a process that will also sideline Jesús Bastidas, regardless of Lara’s advancement.

Alí Sánchez and Rafael Balita Ortega will only be available for the championship series if they recover from recent injuries and are selected by the Águilas del Zulia.
