French Comedy Star Michaël Youn Targeted in Violent Home-Jacking; €100,000 Stolen
French comedy icon Michaël Youn and his family were the victims of a terrifying armed robbery at their home near Aix-en-Provence on Monday, May 11, 2026. The brazen attack, which took place at an isolated residence south of Eguilles, has left the entertainment community shaken.
The incident unfolded around 8:00 AM when a group of masked and gloved intruders stormed the property. According to reports, the assailants were armed with a shotgun, creating a high-tension environment for the family. In a particularly harrowing detail, one of Youn’s children was threatened by an armed man during the heist.
The perpetrators forced the comedian to open his safe, ultimately making off with 100,000 euros. Youn was at the residence with his partner, Isabelle Funaro, and their children at the time of the attack.
