The New York Rangers delivered a dominant 6-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs, with Swedish star Mika Zibanejad playing a key role in half of his team’s goals.

Zibanejad sparked the Rangers’ offense in the third period, beginning with a setup for teammate Alexis Lafrenière to extend the lead to 3-2. Shortly after, he found the back of the net himself, completing a slick play with Lafrenière and Adam Fox.

The Swedish center then secured the final point of the night, assisting on Will Cuylle’s goal with under three minutes remaining, sealing the 6-2 result.

Toronto too saw Swedish representation on the scoresheet, as William Nylander recorded an assist on the Maple Leafs’ first goal of the game.
