Build A Rocket Boy is rolling out a major update today for its open-world action-adventure title, *mindseye*, signaling a renewed commitment to the game following a mixed launch. Dubbed “Update 7,” the patch aims to address player feedback and refine the core experience with improvements to gameplay, pacing, and AI [[1]]. According to the studio, this update represents a “reset” for both the game and the brand, with further content planned through the Arcadia platform [[2]], [[3]].
Build A Rocket Boy is pushing forward with its ambitious open-world action-adventure game, MindsEye, despite a challenging launch. The developer has announced a substantial update, dubbed “Update 7,” alongside hints of future expansions to the title.
Leslie Benzies, former Rockstar North lead and head of Build A Rocket Boy, unveiled the update, which is now available to all players who own the game.
What’s New in MindsEye
The update is being described as a “reset for both the brand and the game,” aiming to refine the core gameplay experience. The patch focuses on improving the pacing of the main campaign, clarifying objectives for players, enhancing enemy AI, implementing improved controls for PC users, and addressing bugs. This comes as Build A Rocket Boy seeks to deliver on the initial promise of a unique and immersive gaming world.
“Update 7 is a significant step forward for MindsEye and for our studio,” said Mark Gerhard, CEO and CTO of Build A Rocket Boy, in a press release. “We’ve listened to feedback, moved quickly, and are continuing to refine performance, make consistent improvements, and introduce substantial enhancements to combat and gameplay. New content is in development, and we are committed to consistent and meaningful progress. Our primary goal remains to deliver the MindsEye experience we’ve always envisioned and that our players deserve.”
Deluxe Edition owners will also receive a special bonus with Update 7: the Silva E-Series, a new city circuit in Redrock, complete with grandstands and cheering NPC spectators.
Looking ahead, Build A Rocket Boy has also announced an upcoming expansion, which will be integrated into Arcadia, the platform dedicated to additional content such as car races, challenges, and special missions.
