Dodgers Take 3-0 NLCS Lead After Rallying Against Brewers

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 3-1 yesterday, taking a commanding 3-0 lead in the National League Championship Series, after overcoming a strong start from Brewers rookie Jacob Misiorowski.

Misiorowski, a 6-foot-7 right-hander, showcased impressive velocity, reaching 102 mph, and struck out nine batters through five innings. However, his fastball dipped in the sixth inning, allowing the Dodgers to capitalize. Tommy Edman’s go-ahead single in the sixth, scoring Will Smith, proved to be the turning point. The Brewers now face elimination, needing to win three straight games to advance to the World Series.

“I think I had a few starts during the year that I felt better, but I felt good,” Misiorowski said. “I did my job and felt like I performed the way they needed me to.” The Dodgers added an insurance run in the sixth following an errant pickoff attempt by reliever Abner Uribe. Misiorowski debuted in June, posting a 5-3 record with a 4.36 ERA, and has been a valuable asset in the playoffs, maintaining a 1.50 ERA across 12 innings.

Brewers third baseman Caleb Durbin acknowledged Misiorowski’s effort, stating, “We needed him today, and he was there for us. Wish we could’ve had his back a little bit more.” Fans can find more information about the MLB Playoffs on the Associated Press website. The Dodgers can clinch the NL Pennant with a win in the next game.
