Spanish e-mountain bike manufacturer Mondraker has partnered with gulf Oil International for a third time, unveiling the limited-edition Crafty Unlimited Gulf Edition.The striking new bike features a distinctive color scheme inspired by the iconic Porsche Kremer 8 race car and boasts a premium component build for serious riders. Priced at €13,999 (approximately $15,000 USD), this model aims to blend high performance with exclusive styling for a discerning market of collectors and e-bike enthusiasts, with only 300 units slated for global distribution beginning in Febuary 2024.

Mondraker has unveiled a new high-end electric mountain bike inspired by classic racing livery, the Crafty Unlimited Gulf Edition. The bike, priced at €13,999 (approximately $15,000 USD), features a powerful 750W motor and boasts premium components, targeting a niche market of discerning cyclists.

This special edition marks the third collaboration between Mondraker and Gulf, following the Neat and Dusty X models. The Crafty Unlimited Gulf Edition distinguishes itself with a color scheme reminiscent of the Porsche Kremer 8 race car from the 1990s, utilizing a darker shade of blue accented by the iconic Gulf orange and striking silver details.

Enhanced Motor Performance

The Crafty Unlimited Gulf Edition utilizes the Bosch Performance Line CX motor, but incorporates a competition-specific version, the Performance Line CX-R. While maintaining the same power output of 100 Nm of torque and 750W maximum power with up to 400% pedal assist, the CX-R features a magnesium casing, reducing weight to 2.7 kg.

A new “Race” assist mode provides a more immediate motor response and extended boost functionality compared to the standard Performance Line CX. The bike is equipped with an 800 Wh Bosch PowerTube battery, with the option to add a 250 Wh Range Extender for increased range.

Premium Componentry

Beyond its striking aesthetics, the Crafty Unlimited Gulf Edition is outfitted with high-end components designed to justify its price tag. The Öhlins suspension system, offering 160mm of travel in the front and 150mm in the rear, features color-matched fork stanchions.

The bike also features a SRAM XX AXS drivetrain with e*thirteen Helix Race Carbon cranks and Trickstuff Maxima brakes, constructed entirely from 7075 CNC aluminum with 203 mm rotors – retailing for approximately €1,300 (around $1,400 USD). Rounding out the build are DT Swiss HXC1200 Carbon Spline wheels and a RockShox Reverb Stealth AXS electronic dropper post.
