The device features a 108-megapixel main camera with 3x zoom, a configuration the company says is a first for the Moto G family. This represents a significant step forward in camera technology for Motorola’s popular mid-range line.

The system is complemented by artificial intelligence features under the moto ai platform, including portrait mode with automatic depth adjustment, automatic smile capture, and integrated editing tools with Google Photos, such as Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur from Alphabet Inc (GOOGL).

During a launch event on February 10 in Bariloche, Argentina, the manufacturer indicated that the Moto G series remains strategic for the brand in Latin America, where mid-range devices account for a significant portion of demand.

The model will be available in the coming days through its own channels, carriers, and major retail chains in the countries where it operates in the region.

While Motorola did not disclose pricing at the time of the announcement in Latin America, the device is currently being sold in other markets starting at US$318.

Specifications and Durability

The Moto g77 integrates a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display offers up to five times more brightness than its predecessor and a 17% higher resolution, according to the company.

The screen also features SGS low blue light emission certification, designed to reduce eye strain during prolonged use.

In terms of durability, the device includes military-grade certification, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and an IP64 rating against dust and splashes.

Motorola indicated that the device is designed to withstand temperatures ranging from -20 °C to 60 °C, and offers increased resistance to drops and scratches compared to previous generations.

The Moto g77 is equipped with a high-performance chipset, the specific model of which was not detailed in the regional communication, along with configurations of up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage.

The battery is 5,200 mAh and includes 30W TurboPower speedy charging. For audio, it incorporates stereo speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res certification.

Alongside the Moto g77, the company also presented the Moto g67, which incorporates a Sony LYTIA 600 50-megapixel sensor with Quad Pixel technology.

Both devices share specifications such as a 6.8-inch AMOLED display, a 5,200 mAh battery, and access to AI-powered tools.

The novel models integrate Google features such as Chat with Gemini and Circle to Search within their Hello UX interface, as well as security tools under Moto Secure.

The launch comes amid growing competition in the mid-range segment in Latin America, where brands such as Samsung, Xiaomi, and realme maintain an offering focused on autonomy, high refresh rate screens, and improvements in mobile photography.
