The crash occurred around 8:22 a.m. at kilometer 145.1 of the highway, heading toward Curitiba. According to Arteris Litoral Sul, the motorcycle and the tow truck collided, and both riders died at the scene. The center and right lanes were closed to allow emergency responders access. Traffic was fully restored by 10:00 a.m. with assistance from the Military Fire Department.
Hours before the accident, Wallace, a motorcycle enthusiast with nearly 18,000 social media followers, posted that he and Giulianny were heading out for breakfast, sharing a photo of their motorcycle ready to go.
Giulianny and Wallace owned a pet shop in São José, in the Greater Florianópolis area. Friends took to social media to express their grief, saying the couple would be deeply missed. Details regarding a wake or funeral have not yet been released.
