After 35 years together, Chilean singer Myriam Hernández and her husband, Jorge Saint-Jean, have separated. The news, which broke in December 2024, sent ripples through the entertainment world and sparked conversation across various entertainment programs.
The “Baladista de América,” as Hernández is known, addressed the split a few months later, offering a message of resilience. “I’m not the first, nor the last. I uncover and continue to find that it’s not necessary to talk about myself given that there are many women who are separated and going through a hard time too; so, who am I to talk about myself and make my situation the most important?… But if it helps anyone: I believe that one can get up,” she shared with Martín Cárcamo on his YouTube program, La Alfombra.
Now, nearly a year after the announcement, Hernández has surprised her followers by briefly sharing a photo of her with a new partner. The image, which was quickly deleted, ignited speculation about her new relationship.
Journalist Cecilia Gutiérrez posted a screenshot of the fleeting image on her Instagram account, writing, “Myriam Hernández uploads the first photo with Fernando, her new partner (but deletes it seconds later).”
Details of Her New Relationship
According to reports, Hernández has been dating Fernando for three months. He is the owner of a security company, and sources say they’ve already been seen together with his family and friends, effectively making their relationship public.
Gutiérrez too revealed that Hernández “sought someone completely different, outside of the artistic and musical scene. He’s not a musician, singer, or manager; he has nothing to do with that.”
“I don’t realize what they want to call it, but she is in a relationship with Fernando,” Gutiérrez added.
Fernando is reportedly a 55-year-old engineer and businessman, and is the son of former Carabineros general and ex-senator, Fernando Cordero Rusque. This new chapter for Hernández comes after a significant period of personal change, and marks a fresh start for the beloved singer.
