Natalie Portman is expecting her third child with partner Tanguy Destable, a French music producer known by his stage name Tepr. The 44-year-old actress shared the news exclusively with Harper’s Bazaar in an interview published Friday, April 17, 2026.
Portman expressed her gratitude and excitement about the pregnancy, stating, “Tanguy and I are very excited,” and adding, “I’m just very grateful. I understand it’s such a privilege and a miracle.” She emphasized her awareness of the challenges associated with fertility, noting her upbringing as the child of a fertility doctor and her desire to be respectful of others’ experiences.
This will be Portman’s first child with Destable, whom she began dating in March 2025 after finalizing her divorce from choreographer Benjamin Millepied in 2024. She already shares two children with Millepied: son Aleph, 14, and daughter Amalia, 9.
Physically, Portman reported feeling strong during her pregnancy, mentioning she has more energy than anticipated and maintains her fitness through swimming and Gyrotonics. She also highlighted the importance of spending quality time with her existing children.
The actress has two upcoming projects with her production company, MountainA, which she co-founded with Sophie Mas in 2020. MountainA focuses on filmmaker-driven projects that often center on the female perspective.
Portman’s pregnancy announcement comes as she continues to balance her personal life with her professional endeavors, including her roles in films such as “Black Swan” and the “Thor” franchise.
