Czech-Polish pop sensation Ewa Farna is opening up about the grueling pressures of stardom with the release of her latest single, “Perpetuum Mobile,” which debuted on Monday, May 11, 2026.
Released through Universal Music, the track serves as a candid reflection of the artist’s current pace and the emotional toll of maintaining a high-profile career. The song was written in collaboration with Jan Vávra and Rony Janeček, who also handled the production.
According to Monika Pavlačková of Universal, the track dives deep into the “theme of an eternal work cycle, overload, exhaustion, and chasing something we don’t know if it’s worth it.” This thematic exploration of burnout and the search for authenticity is mirrored in the lyrics, where Farna questions the nature of achievement: “Just between us / What is success? / When from what we do / My smile disappears.”
The song highlights a poignant contrast between Farna’s public persona and her internal struggle, with the lyrics stating, “The times demand it / So I keep loading more / On tired backs / Outwardly like a rock / Underneath I’m like a child / Still a small child.”
The release comes at a pivotal moment in Farna’s career as she prepares for a massive series of performances. To celebrate 20 years in the music industry, the singer will perform three consecutive shows at the Eden venue in Prague. The residency kicks off on Saturday, June 13, followed by a second performance on Sunday, June 14, and a grand finale on Tuesday, June 16. A limited number of tickets remain available for these milestone events.
These upcoming shows follow a string of high-profile successes that have further cemented Farna’s status as a powerhouse in the region. A multi-time Český slavík winner and recipient of three Anděl awards, Farna has previously sold out the O2 arena on multiple occasions. More recently, she captured international attention during a high-stakes appearance with British star Dua Lipa, where Farna performed a cover of her hit “Na ostří nože” before joining the global icon on stage the following day.
Farna also recently delivered a powerhouse performance at the Rock for People festival, playing to a crowd of 50,000 people backed by an ensemble of 24 musicians and dancers. This trajectory of massive scale and artistic growth underscores the tension explored in “Perpetuum Mobile,” as the artist balances global influence with the personal cost of success.
