PQube and Dragonis Games are bringing the horror adventure Necrophosis: Full Consciousness to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. The console edition bundles the core game with the newly released “Subconsciousness” expansion, offering players a complete experience.

Players can purchase the title digitally on both consoles. PlayStation users, however, will have access to a retail exclusive: the physical PS5 version includes a copy of The Shore, another title from Dragonis Games deeply rooted in Lovecraftian mythology.

A Descent into Decay

Necrophosis: Full Consciousness is a first-person psychological horror game where players awaken as consciousness within a decaying vessel, stripped of all memories. Players are compelled to explore a surreal world consumed by eternal decay, embarking on a dark odyssey to piece together fragments of truth and uncover the reason for their awakening. The included DLC further expands the experience, plunging players into the shadowy depths of the subconscious.

The game features:

  • Nightmarish Landscapes: Players can freely roam a macabre world inspired by cosmic horror and the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
  • Puzzles of Horror: The game presents disturbing challenges, some requiring players to detach their own brains or possess other entities to progress.
  • Encounters with Gods: Throughout their journey, players will confront forgotten deities and unnatural entities, unraveling their tragic histories and the endless cycle of death and rebirth.
  • Atmospheric Sound Design: Minimalist, droning sounds and cryptic whispers create a constant sense of tension within this dying world.

The “Subconsciousness” expansion continues the narrative, allowing players to explore new areas and encounter further entities hidden within the twisted essence of the game’s world. Core mechanics, such as collecting narrative poems and solving complex puzzles, remain central to the experience.

The release of Necrophosis: Full Consciousness on consoles expands the reach of this atmospheric horror title, potentially attracting a wider audience to its unique blend of psychological terror and Lovecraftian themes. The game’s premise—awakening as consciousness itself—offers a novel approach to the horror genre, and the inclusion of the “Subconsciousness” DLC provides added value for players.

With the “Subconsciousness” expansion, the story is consistently continued. Here you can explore new areas and encounter further entities hidden in the twisted essence of this world. Core mechanics such as collecting narrative poems and solving complex puzzles remain a central part of your experience.
