FREISTADT. Due to overwhelming demand and sold-out concerts already scheduled for 2025, the Nockis have announced an additional performance at Messehalle 2 in Freistadt on Saturday, November 28, 2026.
Celebrating their 40th anniversary two years ago, the Nockis have become something of the “Rolling Stones” of the German-language Schlager music scene. The band has topped the Austrian album charts a remarkable 13 times, and also enjoys significant success in Germany and Switzerland. Few could have predicted, back in 1982, that an unknown group from Carinthia would rise to become Austria’s most successful Schlager band of all time.
38 Goldene Schallplatten
The Nockis now boast an impressive collection of awards, including 38 Goldene Schallplatten (Golden Records) and 29 Platin-Schallplatten (Platinum Records), along with a Multi-Edelmetallauszeichnung for their anniversary. Their latest album, “Glücksmomente,” is a top-tier Schlager release, showcasing the musicians at their best. The album’s lead single, “Seite 1870,” is a particularly standout pop-Schlager track, instantly recognizable as a classic Nockis tune.
The band is known for its original lyrics, often drawn from real-life experiences, combined with contemporary music that skillfully incorporates current sounds. Adding to their appeal is the distinctive, slightly raspy voice of Friedl Würcher, which would also find an audience in the soft rock genre. This combination of elements has been the key to the Carinthian band’s decades of success, consistently surprising and delighting fans with each new album. The solo concert at the new Messehalle 2 in Freistadt promises an evening filled with music, emotion, and unforgettable moments.
The show will begin at 7:30 PM, with doors opening at 6:00 PM. Tickets are available for pre-sale online at www.postl-shows or www.oeticket.com, and at all ÖTicket shops. Tips is also giving away 6 pairs of tickets.
