Nova Flip Debuts as the World’s Most Affordable Foldable Smartphone

In a move that challenges the market dominance of premium tech giants, +Ai has officially unveiled the Nova Flip. Launched during an event in India in April 2026, the device is positioned as the most affordable foldable phone globally, sporting a disruptive price tag of 29,999 Indian Rupees—approximately $320.

This aggressive pricing strategy signals a potential shift in the foldable landscape, aiming to produce flexible-screen technology accessible to a much broader consumer base beyond the luxury segment.

Premium Display Experience on a Budget

Despite its entry-level price, the Nova Flip does not compromise on visual real estate. The device features a 6.9-inch AMOLED internal display with a resolution of 2790 x 1188 pixels. To complement the main screen, +Ai included a 3.1-inch AMOLED external display, allowing users to manage notifications and essential functions without unfolding the device.

Hardware and Performance Specifications

Under the hood, the Nova Flip is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor. According to reports from Yanko Design, the hardware configuration includes:

Hardware and Performance Specifications
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Storage: 256GB internal memory
  • Connectivity: 5G support and NFC integration
  • Durability: IP64 rating for water and dust resistance

Battery Life and Camera Capabilities

One of the most notable aspects of the Nova Flip is its battery capacity. Equipped with a 4325 mAh battery, it actually outperforms several higher-priced competitors. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Motorola Razr Plus 2024—both of which typically cost roughly three times as much as the Nova Flip—feature smaller 4000 mAh batteries. The Nova Flip also supports 33W wired fast charging.

On the photography front, the device features a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth lens. For selfies and video calls, it includes a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

By combining these specifications with a sub-$350 price point, +Ai is effectively lowering the barrier to entry for foldable innovation, forcing a reconsideration of how these devices are priced and positioned in the global market.
