Years after the 2017 passing of Polish singer and actor Zbigniew Wodecki, a close freind, Olga Bończyk, is speaking out about a fractured relationship with his family. Bończyk, who was with Wodecki during his final moments, recently detailed feeling excluded from memorial events and addressed accusations regarding her professional life following his death. In a new interview with “Świat Gwiazd,” Bończyk offered a candid account of the ongoing strain and her decision to distance herself from Wodecki’s family.

Zbigniew Wodecki, a beloved Polish singer and actor, passed away in May 2017, and his longtime friend Olga Bończyk was with him during his final moments. “Zbyszek – I was with him until the very end. And those are the kinds of things that leave a huge mark,” Bończyk recalled in an interview with Mariola Bojarską-Ferenc on the “Viva! Bez Tabu” program.

Olga Bończyk Opens Up About Strained Relationship with Zbigniew Wodecki’s Family

Despite their close bond, Bończyk’s relationship with Wodecki’s family has become decidedly strained in recent years. In August 2024, the actress gave a candid interview where she addressed being left off the guest list for concerts held in Wodecki’s memory. Her words were direct and revealing.

I don’t want to have contact with those people. They hurt me so much that I simply don’t want to. I want to cut myself off, close that door. I have a total wall, I don’t wish anyone harm, let them live their lives, they have the right to do so. I live my life, I move on.

— she told “Świat Gwiazd.”

Bończyk also expressed her hurt over comments questioning her professional relationship with Wodecki. “I remember someone saying during that difficult time for me that I had used Zbyszek to get ahead, that I had built something on his back. That was never the case. I existed before Zbyszek, during our collaboration, and after Zbyszek I recorded two albums, I live my life, I perform concerts, I do projects. My professional life hasn’t changed. Zbyszek was a beautiful chapter in my life. It’s a huge injustice to accuse me of getting anything in life thanks to Zbyszek,” she stated.
