Mixed martial arts fans worldwide will have their eyes on Bangkok this Friday, as ONE Lumpinee 138 is set to deliver a full evening of high-stakes Muay Thai action. the event, featuring a card of exclusively flyweight bouts, marks the latest installment in ONE Championship’s weekly series showcasing the best of striking talent at the historic Lumpinee boxing Stadium. All 28 athletes competing on the january 16th card have successfully completed pre-event weigh-in procedures, paving the way for a night of compelling matchups.
The stage is set for a thrilling night of action as 28 fighters have successfully made weight for ONE Lumpinee 138, scheduled to take place this Friday, January 16th, at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium (Ramindra). The event will be broadcast live to fans in 195 countries around the globe.
Headlining the card, “Pom Petch PKSaencha” (formerly known as “Pom Petch PK.”) a 27-year-old fighter from Buriram, will face off against “Decho P.Brirak” a 22-year-old Muay Thai specialist from Songkhla in a flyweight (125-135 lbs) bout. This matchup promises a dynamic clash of styles as Decho transitions to a full Muay Thai ruleset.
The international main event will feature “Brazil Ekmongnont,” a 20-year-old versatile fighter hailing from Krabi, taking on “Ubed Hussein,” a 20-year-old Pakistani-British striker in another flyweight Muay Thai contest. Both fighters are looking to make a statement on the international stage.
All athletes competing in ONE Lumpinee 138 underwent rigorous medical checks, hydration testing, and weigh-ins, prioritizing athlete health and safety. Any discrepancies during the weigh-in process will be addressed through negotiations regarding weight concessions to ensure fair competition.
