OPPO is preparing to expand its K-series lineup with the upcoming K15 Turbo and K15 Turbo Pro smartphones, according to recent leaks. Key specifications and images of the devices have surfaced through China’s TENAA certification website, hinting at a potential April launch.
The leaked images reveal a shift in design for the K15 Turbo series, moving towards a flatter, more industrial aesthetic. Both models are expected to feature a flat display, a metal frame and a redesigned rear camera module. Despite the design changes, the phones will retain a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup on the back.
Building on the active cooling technology introduced in last year’s Oppo K13 Turbo Pro, the K15 Turbo series will also include an internal cooling fan. This feature, combined with aggressive thermal management, aims to optimize performance during demanding tasks. The inclusion of advanced cooling systems underscores the growing importance of thermal efficiency in modern smartphones.
Under the hood, the higher-conclude K15 Turbo Pro is rumored to be powered by a Dimensity 9500s chip, paired with a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS flat display boasting a high refresh rate. A more affordable variant is expected to feature a Dimensity 8500 processor. The top-tier configuration is anticipated to offer 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Ventilation cutouts along the frame and a capacitive touch button at the bottom are also visible in the leaked images. The tipster suggests that pricing for the K15 Turbo series may increase compared to previous generations, reflecting the upgraded chipset and premium materials like the metal frame. This potential price adjustment could signal a move towards a more premium positioning for the K-series.
