Overwatch Update: Jetpack Cat Nerf & Hero Adjustments

Players can expect changes to Jetpack Cat in this week’s Overwatch update, following the feline-fueled chaos the hero has caused in battles across the video game. Blizzard has revealed the complete patch notes for this latest update, a minor release primarily focused on the five new characters introduced at the start of Season 1.

With the exception of Vendetta, all five characters are receiving minor adjustments. Details of the changes are outlined below.

Domina:

  • The cost of Panopticon has been increased by 12%.

Anran:

  • The cooldown of Inferno Rush has been reduced from 8.5 to 8 seconds.
  • The movement distance of Dancing Blaze has been increased from 1.5 to 2.25 meters.

Emre:

  • The damage from the synthetic burst rifle has been increased from 20 to 22.

Vendetta:

  • Overhead swing damage from Palatine Fang has been reduced from 130 to 120.
  • A fix has been implemented for Palatine Fang, addressing the overhead swing now being affected by horizontal knockback while initiating the downward motion.

Jetpack Cat:

  • The cooldown of the Claws Out minor perk has been increased from 6 to 8 seconds.
  • The damage dealt by the Territorial major perk has been reduced from 50% to 33%.

Mizuki:

  • The duration of Kekkai Sanctuary has been increased from 6 to 7 seconds.

A number of other quick bug fixes are also included, detailed below.

General:

  • Fixed an issue with missing textures on the Charming: 76 skin.
  • Resolved several minor issues with Jetpack Cat and the tether animation for various heroes.
  • Fixed an issue that was hiding Jetpack Cat’s aim assist strength and threshold settings.
  • Resolved a problem with Vendetta’s sword-casting animation in third-person.
  • Fixed an issue where Mizuki could still perform Katashiro Return while stunned.
  • Resolved a problem where Mercy’s passive was displayed incorrectly in the advanced info panel.

Stadium:

  • Fixed an issue that caused the stadium user interface to disappear after a round transition.
  • Resolved a problem where Vendetta could spam their ultimate ability without full charge.
  • Fixed a problem where Vendetta would not receive ultimate charge while using the “Overload” ability.
  • Resolved a problem where Vendetta’s primary fire would not trigger Gloomgauntlet or be increased by Melee Damage.
  • Fixed a problem where the VFX for Bola Shot when using Freja’s “So Cooked” ability was incorrect.
  • Resolved an issue with Ana’s “Dreamy” ability incorrectly canceling the benefits of Artsy Daisy and Tactical Rifle.
  • Fixed a problem where Mercy’s self-healing from healing allies with missing health was incorrectly reduced to 15% instead of the intended 40%.
