Patrick Bruel Faces Recent Sexual Assault Allegation in Belgium
French singer and actor Patrick Bruel is now facing a new allegation of sexual assault in Belgium, adding to a growing number of accusations against him. A Belgian press attaché came forward on Thursday, March 26, 2026, to file a complaint, alleging an incident that occurred in 2010.
The press attaché, Karine Viseur, publicly detailed the alleged assault on RTL, stating that the incident took place within the premises of Belgian public media. This new complaint follows recent reports by Mediapart detailing accusations from multiple women, which prompted Viseur to come forward.
According to Viseur, she had previously filed a complaint in 2010, which she later withdrew. She re-submitted the complaint on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. She described a situation where she felt she was being targeted by Bruel during a day spent with him while promoting the film Comme les cinq doigts de la main.
“He tries to kiss me forcefully. He rubs against me. He caresses me, he goes under my dress,” Viseur recounted to RTL, adding, “The ‘no’s were said constantly.” She firmly stated her belief that “he is a predator.”
Viseur detailed an initial encounter in a makeup room where she alleges Bruel “cornered” her and subjected her to unwanted physical contact, describing a moment of “a surge of caresses,” with “chest to chest.” She further alleges that he then forced her into, and locked her inside, a restroom.
Bruel is already facing two other complaints for rape and sexual assault. This latest allegation intensifies the scrutiny surrounding the entertainer, as the French entertainment world continues to grapple with issues of misconduct, and accountability.
