The impressive form is a stark contrast to his initial struggles after arriving at Old Trafford in February 2025, and praise is now flowing for the young player.
Dorgu’s debut for Manchester United ended in disappointment, as he was shown a straight red card during a match against Ipswich Town.
He subsequently faced criticism for costly errors, including a perceived miscommunication that contributed to a 0-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the 2025 Europa League final.
Despite the setbacks, Dorgu remained resolute, continuing to work hard and placing his faith in a higher power.
A devout Catholic, Dorgu regularly attends mass at the Holy Family parish of St. Margaret Clitherow in Manchester. His middle name, ‘Chinazaekpere,’ holds special significance, meaning ‘God answers prayers’ in the Nigerian language.

“I always believe and am sure that God has a plan for my career. I continue to pray even when things are not going well,” he added.
