Pokémon Unite is rolling out a major update on Thursday, April 16, 2026, introducing balance changes under the title “Revival Stars” along with several new features and content additions.
The update goes live at 4:00 PM Japan Standard Time and includes a refreshed Battle Pass for the new season, the ongoing Johto Special Shop, and updates to the Prize Machine, which now features the Tea Party Style Pixie.
the Box Challenge has been updated to include the Aurora Style Suicune as a new obtainable reward.
A key gameplay adjustment increases the experience sharing radius during battles from 6 meters to 7 meters, allowing teammates to gain experience from a slightly greater distance.
In competitive play, the Custom Rules section of Tournament Mode now includes a new “All-Star Draft” option. This rule, designed for best-of-two or best-of-three match formats, prevents any Pokémon that has already appeared in a match from being selected again in subsequent games—regardless of team—encouraging broader strategic diversity and reducing reliance on single-powerhouse picks.
The update also brings general shop and event updates, bug fixes, and text corrections. Players experiencing issues with the update not applying are advised to restart the application.
Server connectivity may be temporarily disrupted during the update process, which the developers note is a normal, short-lived occurrence.
This update reflects ongoing efforts to refine competitive balance and expand cosmetic and progression systems in Pokémon Unite, maintaining engagement through seasonal content and evolving gameplay mechanics.
