Poland’s national team manager was weighing several options ahead of their match against Albania at PGE Narodowy Stadium, but faced some challenges in the process. A key player is battling an injury, and the squad was limited to just three forwards due to an injury to Adam Buksa.
Jan Urban Makes Roster Decisions, Cuts Two Players
It remains to be seen if Oskar Pietuszewski will feature in the starting lineup, but he is certainly in contention. He is more likely to see minutes off the bench, but the final decision will be revealed this evening.
For now, it’s confirmed that the 17-year-old from Porto is included in the matchday squad. Bartosz Mrozek, however, did not make the cut. This means that Kamil Grabara, Mateusz Kochalski, or Bartłomiej Drągowski will step in to replace the injured Łukasz Skorupski.
And that’s not a major surprise. The Lech Poznań goalkeeper has stepped up as the fourth-choice goalkeeper, filling in for Kacper Tobiasz. He’s gaining valuable experience through his involvement in team training.
This presents a significant opportunity for another member of the Polish national team. Michał Skóraś is expected to start at the wingback position.
Referee Anthony Taylor will kick off the match at 8:45 PM local time.
