Indonesia is guaranteed a gold medal in men’s doubles at the 2026 Thailand Masters after Raymond Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin advanced to the final on Saturday. The tournament is a key stop on the BWF World Tour, offering valuable ranking points for Olympic qualification.
Indra and Joaquin defeated Hu Ke Yuan and Lin Xiang Yi in the semifinal round, held at Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok. The Indonesian duo secured the victory with a score of 21-16, 21-15.
The first game saw a back-and-forth battle, with Indra and Joaquin trailing 8-11 at the interval. However, they quickly turned the tables, reeling off seven consecutive points to take the lead and momentum.

From that point forward, Indra and Joaquin maintained control, closing out the first game 21-16.
The second game saw the Indonesian pair continue their strong form, establishing an early lead and never relinquishing it. They clinched the victory 21-15 after a 36-minute match.
This win sets up an all-Indonesian final in the men’s doubles competition. Indra and Joaquin will face the winners of the other semifinal matchup between Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana and Muhammad Rian Ardianto/Rahmat Hidayat.
In women’s doubles action, Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Meilysa Trias Puspitasari were eliminated in the semifinals. They fell to China’s Bao Li Jing and Li Yi Jing in a three-game thriller, 11-21, 21-16, 15-21.
