Redmi has announced a January 29th launch date for its new Turbo 5 series of smartphones in China. The company will unveil both the Turbo 5 and the Turbo 5 Max at the event.
Alongside the phone announcements, Redmi also plans to introduce the Buds 8 Pro wireless earbuds and a special edition of the Pad 2 Pro tablet inspired by the Harry Potter franchise.
Details revealed so far indicate the Turbo 5 Max will feature a distinctive orange color option, a CNC-machined metal frame with curved edges, and a glass fiber back panel. The design choices reflect a growing trend toward premium materials and aesthetics in the mid-range smartphone market.
Under the hood, the Turbo 5 Max is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor. It will also boast a substantial 9000mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging.
